Miniatures Carry Case

Battle Hive Carry Case

If you collect Games Workshop, Confrontation, Warmachine or any of the other high quality metal figures produced today for wargames then there is nothing worse than having you carefully painted miniatures and figures chipped and bent as you transport them for a game.

The solution is to use a figure or army carry case to transport and store them. The main type of storage solution for figures uses foam inserts with cut out slots for your figures. The one that most people will have seen is the Games Workshop Figure Case produced for their Warhammer and Warhammer 40k games. This is a rigid hard plastic outer with foam inserts and a carrying handle. There are a number of other manufacturers of army carry cases out there though that should be considered. This is because they add extra features over the 'standard' Games Workshop option.

Games Workshop Army Case
The image to the left shows the Scout Pack from Charon and this illustrates three of the main features to look out for; ease of carrying, weight and number of miniatures carried. The carry case pictured has a carrying handle, as well as a shoulder strap, it is lightweight and has pockets for rulebooks and other items. Whilst the current Games Workshop case is an improvement on their old rigid figure case I always struggle to fit a full army into one. Other manufacturers to consider therefore are Charon, Intersponge, Osprey, and Crystal Caste
